Fā Rai Din Ce Ai (Make Heaven From What You Have) is part of a larger collective research project ‘RRRUBBLE’ developed in collaboration with Space Saloon and The MAAK.

In October 2023, the RRRUBBLE methodology was put into action as part of the Timișoara Architecture Biennial (BETA). Invited to explore how Victory Square might be reimagined, the team worked with students from the Polytechnic University, focusing on the square’s abandoned underground stairwells.

Materials were mined from BETA’s storage archive of previous installations and exhibitions, mapping usable materials and prototyping on-site. Over the course of a week, participants collectively reframed the use of the staircases through spatial installations and events.

All materials taken from storage had to be kept in their same condition. These constraints produced a creative repurposing of items, discovered through an on-the-ground, hands-on process of design and making.
